Waste Water Technician

Department: M1-Maintenance

Reports to: HSE Manager

Hourly Rate:  $18.08 to $20.08

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary of Job Duties:

• Monitor the waste plant operation
• Keep records of operation
• Carry out quality checks and chemical control
• Report any abnormalities to plant supervisor
• Loading and unloading of consumable chemicals
• Monitor filter press operation
• Coordinate sludge storage and movement
• Assist in collecting water samples
• Assist in maintenance of the plant on as required basis

Skill Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain positive attitude and good organizational skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Hands on and ability to carry out tasks with minimal monitoring
• Attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants.

Physical Job Demands:

Lifting / carrying / moving 50 lbs., may need to climb ladders and deal with extreme heights,  will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site
