Production Clerk

Department: Production

Reports to: Production Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Description:

  • Support Plant Manager and Production Supervisors. Answer telephones, gathering and distributing data and info to Main offices.
  • Performs administrative tasks to support the operations group. Standardize, coordinate and update all templates. Coordinates conference calls and meeting for office and production staff. Track budgets, projects and action items for Management staff. Conduct surveys as needed.
  • Build presentations, reports or special projects for Plant Manager and office staff.
  • Audit Production’s paperwork, batch tickets, line performance data and schedule compliance.
  • Update monthly reports as deemed necessary
  • Training key operators on documentation.
  • Take meeting minutes and distribute to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Track attendance and occasionally collect/coordinate between staff and HR in gathering and distributing document and or forms.
  • Facilitate Mandated OSHA safety training documentation to HR office.
  • Facilitate completed Batch ticket submission from Production to Accounting.
  • Forward completed new hire documents and forms to HR Nampa for final entry.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous administrative experience, 1+ years.
  • Strong computer skills, Word, Excel.
  • Organization skills a must.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Perform job adhering to food safety, legality and quality.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.
