JOB SUMMARY
Position supports the Human Resources Business Partner in the areas of Recruitment, Selection and Orientation of Plant Employees, Benefits Administration, Communication Programs, Labor/Employee Relations, Affirmative Action, Training, Supervisor and Hourly Development, Community Relations, and Human Resources Administration.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Position reports directly to the Human Resources Business Partner, who, in turn, reports to the Plant Manager. The incumbent works closely with the Human Resources Business Partner in carrying out the goals of the department utilizing effective continuous improvement techniques. Position supervises plant Training Coordinator.
The incumbent must possess a high level of Human Resource knowledge, organizational and communication skills, as well as computer proficiency to be able to effectively perform in a fast paced environment and interact with individuals from varying work disciplines and variety of cultural backgrounds.
The incumbent will lead EEOC Affirmative Action programs and be responsible for employee relations ongoing at the plant under the direction of the Human Resources Business Partner, Plant Manager, and functional Managers within the Corporate Human Resources Department.
The incumbent acts as the Human Resources Representative in the administration of Company policies and procedures, including benefits administration, employee relations, and communication programs.

Position requires a BA degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field with 5 years Human Resources experience in areas of recruitment, benefits, compensation, communications and employee relations. Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills to develop newsletter and interact with employees and management at all levels. Excellent organization, coordination and project management skills are necessary to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems is important.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
